God willing, Spring Bible Week 2017 will be held at The New England Girls School, Armidale, NSW, from Saturday, September 30 to Saturday, October 7, 2017. We hope this will be a week of spiritual refreshment as we consider God’s word, worship the Father and his Son, share our discipleship experiences, make and renew friendships. Spring Bible Week is a family activity. For a week we live together pooling our talents to enrich each other’s lives, enjoying a minute taste of the kingdom experience.
NEGS is set on 50 hectares of gently sloping parklands. October is spring time but weather can be very variable. Nights can be cold but days sunny and pleasant. The school buildings are centrally heated. Armidale is an attractive small rural university ‘city’ and a pleasant contrast to the environment many of us live in.
The NEGS Main Hall and classrooms are conveniently located in the one area with undercover walkways connecting them and close to the dining room. The boarding houses are spread further around the campus.
In-school accommodation is in 2-storey boarding houses each with rooms sleeping 1-5, large common rooms with kitchenettes, laundry and drying facilities. Toilet and shower facilities are shared (male on one floor, female the other).
We hope to once again offer a limited number of powered caravan sites adjacent to NEGS MPC.
Meals are held in the school dining room in 2 sittings.
Through arrangements with local motels, we can offer alternatives for those requiring greater comfort with some or all meals at NEGS.
The fee structure is designed to make the week as affordable as possible for families. Fees for 2017 will not be available until early 2017.
We hope to offer instalment payment options for 2017.
Expressions of Interest & Applications
For 2017 you will be able to indicate though an online process your interest in attending several months before applications open. We hope this will ensure that everybody who is interested in applying will be ready to apply when application time begins.
You will be able to apply and pay fees online.
We will also provide for any who need a pen and paper application process.
The morning program for the adult activities comprises 2 sessions with a 30 minute break for morning tea. There will be a study session for all followed by smaller variety sessions including workshops.
Each morning there are organised activities for children of all ages.
Other activities will include a Sports Afternoon, Children’s Musical, Family Night, plus plenty of time in the afternoons for optional or spontaneous activities – music, discussions, sport, visiting local attractions, coffee or catching up on sleep.
